I started this blog while I was at the Kennedy School to help students and faculty connect with current innovations in governance and technology. As I move back into government service, I’m learning that I still want a place to discuss this.

The focus of this blog (and my new venture, BYO consulting) is the intersection of government, technology, and people.

  1. Good stuff. You’ll probably like GovLoop.com as well – social network of 7,500+ gov’t innovators. Lots of Gov 2.0 talk…..You should start a group there and engage as well.

Let me know if you have any questions.

  2. Very interested to know that there is interest in KSG on this issue. We at Berkman and Law Lab partnered with O’Reilly for Gov. 2.0 Summit with four workshops. We are very engaged in this issue and will be hosting roundtables in DC on Gov. 2.0. We are also building an open cloud governance platform, etc.

  3. That’s great! I’d love to hear more about the work you are doing. We just started organizing around this issue at HKS, and interest is definitely growing. We are planning a series of brown-bag lunches, workshops, and an unconference in the Spring for local policy makers around gov 2.0 issues. I would love to get your thoughts on the work that we are doing, or what we should be doing.

  4. I saw this from Stephen Clift’s tweet. Glad to see that someone is educating the next generation. I run the OpenGovNYC meetup in New York , and would love to see a sister meetup spring up in Boston. Lemme know if you are interested.

  5. Awesome. We have just started monthly happy hours for people to come together around these issues. Perhaps a meetup is a way to attract a broader audience (which is certainly a goal).I’ll send you an email under different cover, would love to talk.

  6. Hi Yasmin – excellent effort. Thanks. I wanted to let you know about our web development company Forum One founded by KSG alumni which works on a number of Gov 2 initiatives. Among other things we just won the Apps for America 2 data.gov competition. We’re happy to help you in any way we can.

  7. John: Might be cool to have your group back for the Gov 2.0 Expo in May, too.
